Cowboys
Cowboys were the people who took care of the cattle or horses. They used their techniques from vaqueros. They used leather chaps for protection, lassos to catch cattle, and wore felt hats but changed it a little. Bandanas were originated from cowboys to keep dust off their faces. Gathering the cattle was called a roundup. To keep thieves away, they marked the cattle so thieves wouldn't sell them if they got stolen. They didn't get paid a lot, but they worked all the time; long and hard. Because of low pay, they usually couldn't start their own ranch.
